Adieu 2016

by John on December 26, 2016

It’s time to bid farewell to 2016.

To “borrow” a quote from the blogosphere, I’m glad this “dumpster fire of a year” is finally over.

I was done with this year when it started. I’m glad it is finally over. Yes, there were amazing moments, but unfortunately, my friends and family were on the receiving end of some pretty heavy shit.

As for me, I’m planning on reading and writing more, growing more as a friend, leader and manager, curbing the soda and cigars, and focusing on wellness. Some of my reasons are altruistic and some are coming from a selfish place, but I can live with my faulty logic.

To my friends and family, I wish you a healthy and happy 2017! This year is over and done. Time to move forward with our chins up. We may be a bit bowed from all the difficulties, but we are not broken!

“Once in a lifetime, never again!”
