Graduation

by John on May 6, 2011

There is something energizing about the beginning of the semester on campus that I’ve always loved, new friends, classes, professors and in some cases parties.

I’ve also loved graduation and while some view it as an end, it truly should be classified as a beginning.

I love the pomp and circumstance of the ceremony, the academic symbolism, the gowns, the honor cords and mortar boards and I still remember in vivid detail my undergraduate & graduate graduations. It was truly the culmination of years of hard work, personal and professional sacrifice.

We recently celebrated this wonderful event at the University, graduating over 3,300 energetic, amazing “Worlds Ahead” individuals.

So in the spirit of beginnings of a truly amazing unconference, I wanted to share this with all of my #HREvolution friends, both new and old.

We moved our tassels this past weekend in Atlanta. Here’s to the beginning of our journey and the “Evolution of our Revolution!” I’m proud to be a Revolutionary (and a Panther)!

Thanks for sharing that video. It takes me back to the feelings I had when I received my undergrad from the University of Mo and my grad degree from Webster University. Seeing those young faces, so full of promise…what a great way to start my day! And for our HRevolution friends, we are approaching graduation. After attending your third year John, you’ll be a senior. Maybe we do need a graduation ceremony. 🙂
