Ten Questions

by John on January 12, 2016

One of my resolutions was to start writing more. Not gonna lie, it’s been a bit tough to get into a groove. But as one of my temporary therapists “Dr. Walker” likes to remind the masses: No matter what, you gotta keep walking…

While I’d absolutely love to do a comeback post that waxes poetic on the upcoming state of HR education in the global or hemispheric setting, I can’t move myself to write that stuff.

So I’ve decided to start with the Pivot Questionnaire, made famous by Bernard Pivot and James Lipton:

  1. What is your favorite word? “Daddy”
  2. What is your least favorite word? “Vulnerable”
  3. What turns you on? “Competing”
  4. What turns you off? “Drunks Pontificating”
  5. What sound or noise do you love? “My kids laughter”
  6. What sound or noise do you hate? “Chairs scraping across the floor”
  7. What is your favorite curse word? “Fuck”
  8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? “Travel Writer”
  9. What profession would you not like to do? “Accountant”
  10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates? “Good Job JP,Good Job! You really did make a difference!”

I’m easing back into the space, and yes, soon I’ll have some posts on HR, HR in Higher Education, Talent Acquisition, Talent Acquisition strategy at the collegiate level, unpaid internships, navigating the political landscape at work, blahby, blah, blah….

But for now, I’m gonna have a bit of fun. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to pick #7songs…
