Thankful 2014

by John on November 27, 2014

Whooo! It’s that time of the year baby. It’s time for me to dust off the blog, and write some self-serving/mushy post about last year, the people, the places, and the events. I name names, get a bit sentimental (which is a big deal), and post links. What’s not to love?

Let’s get this party started:

  • Congratulations to Jenny & Guri, Andy & Emily. They joined the parent club this year with the birth of their amazing children. Being a parent is tough, but y’all are amazing parents already, trust me. I know that your children will grow to be amazing people who are making a difference every day, just like their parents.
  • I can’t help but mention the usual suspects who make me shake my head and at times laugh: Paul, John, Mike, Frank, Dave, for being a group of peeps that make me smile and think.
  • Miss you and still worry about you Paul!
  • I always get a kick out of the fact that you two ladies probably have forgotten more about TKE than some of the newly initiated pledges. That and the fact that y’all are kick ass HR Peeps too! Cheers to you Tammy & Robin!
  • I’m still shaking my head in disbelief that you never had chicken & waffles before. The fact that we got to have them in one of the best places on South Beach makes it all the more special. You both are amazing, special people Jenn & Rachelle
  • You force me to think logically, raise my game, and I love the fact that we quote Stern and you’re always one of the first people I see at conferences. Gary? Gaaaaarrrrryyy? Garrrryy! You are the best Matt!
  • You have a big heart, are an amazing parent, and one of the smartest people I know. We don’t get to spend too much time together, but when we do, I cherish it Lance.
  • I admire your hustle Lars! Always have, always will.
  • You are a prince among men Steve! I’m lucky to call you friend.
  • A toast to your happiness Sarah! All my best on 12/13/14!
  • Dwane, you are family.
  • I love you Julie & Alex. I don’t say that as often as I should, but never doubt it.

I could go on and on, but I’m starting to get all misty and that’s just not in my DNA. There are too many to name, but you all know who you are (hell, you get the random texts…) May you all have a peaceful, and wonderful holiday!

All my love!
